Maverick director Ram Gopal Varma created enough sensation during late 90s and early 2000s. He introduced many new genres to Indian cinema and he has been highly successful with his films. Because of the repeated and outdated content, all his recent movies ended as duds and they have been rejected by the audience.

Surprisingly, some of his movies remained unreleased because of lack of buyers. From an untouchable position, RGV now reached to the lowest and he felt it’s time to prove. He is now back with his latest movie Killing Veerappan which happened to be the life story of smuggler Veerappan.

Killing Veerappan is based on the operation that killed the country’s dreaded criminal and sandalwood bandit Veerappan. Sandeep Bharadwaj reprised the role of Veerappan in the movie and Kannda Superstar Shivraj Kumar played the cop in the movie. Parul Yadav played the female lead in the movie and the shoot of the film has been wrapped up some time ago.

Killing Veerappan has been slated for release in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Hindi languages on January 1st all over. The theatrical trailer has been completely intensive that it raised lot of curiosity among the audience. As per the latest news, a lady from Salem, Tamil Nadu filed a petition seeking to halt the film’s release as the trailer has been carrying explosive content that will affect the law and order in Tamil Nadu. She even revealed that the movie is completely fake and it carries nothing real about Veerappan.

The lady even mentioned that Killing Veerappan has been made to degrade Tamilians and Tamil Nadu Police along with women across the state. Killing Veerappan has been produced by Zed 3 Pictures in association with GR Pictures. Ram Gopal Varma reveals that he has done a lot of investigation and research on Veerappan’s life and he even interacted with Veerappan’ss wife Muthu Lakshmi before starting the project.
