Talented actor Ranbir Kapoor is a happy man as he reached the top place among the younger generation of Bollywood in a very less span of time. His movies Rockstar and Barfi minted huge money along with wide applause which made Ranbir the most wanted actor in Bollywood.
The actor suffered with back to back debacles recently and his movies Roy and Bombay Velvet ended up as the biggest flops in his career. He then came up with Tamasha which is said to be a romantic entertainer which is being directed by Imtiaz Ali. Ranbir and Deepika Padukone played the lead roles in this romantic entertainer which ended up as an average entertainer.
Tamasha impressed the multiplex audience and failed to recover the investments of the film. The distributors of the movie suffered huge losses after which Ranbir came out to resuce them. Sajid Nadiadwala produced Tamasha on Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainments banner and Ranbir charged a whopping amount of Rs 38 crores as remuneration. After the business has been closed, Ranbir returned Rs 10 crores from his remuneration to compensate the losses.
It is heard that Deepika Padukone too returned Rs 5 crores from her remuneration. Tamasha has been made on a budget of Rs 80 crores and the movie ended up collecting Rs 65 crores at the final box-office run. The movie received critical acclaim all over but Tamasha has been impressed by a section of audience.
Ranbir pinned huge hopes on Tamasha and he is completely depressed with the result of the film. Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone’s performances along with their sizzling chemistry has been well praised all over. AR Rahman composed the music and Tamasha has been shot exclusively in Corsica.
