After the new rules have come into existence from the Censor Board of Film Certification, Indian films have been facing tough problems. James Bond’s latest outing Spectre has been trimmed mostly and the board has even revealed that the kissing scenes will be trimmed if they have a screen space more than 8 seconds. Here are some of the films which faced tough days with the CBFC:
Queen: Kangana Ranaut created huge sensation with her 2014 outing Queen which ended as a huge blockbuster. The movie had issues with the censor board because of the word sex used and also a scene showing off Kangana’s cleavage. Censor board removed the word sex and even chopped of the cleavage scene from the film.
Guddu Rangeela: Subash Kapoor’s directorial Guddu Rangeela starring Arshad Warsi and Amit Sadh had many objectionable words like ch***iya, saali, lena, maal and pakadna which have not been accepted. Some of them have been muted and the others have been replaced with similar sounds which sounded better.
Happy Ending: Sources say that the censor board has been left confused for the movie Happy Ending. The movie had words like a**h*l* and f****rs which have been replaced. But words like penis and ch***ya did not get any cuts. The makers have even issued U/A certificate for the movie.
Katti Batti: Katti Batti was a film about live in relationship directed by Nikhil Advani. Imran Khan and Kangana Ranaut played the lead roles in the movie which had seven cuts throughout. The Board has decided to chopp of the word boobs which left the makers in surprise.
Dum Laga Ke Haisha: This romantic comedy received critical acclaim from the movie lovers and critics but the censor board considered to trim words like lesbian from the film. The word haramkor has been replaced with kathor.
Bombay Velvet: Anurag Kashyap always wanted Bombay Velvet to be certified with U/A but not with A. However the censor board trimmed many scenes and words like son of a bitch and dhobi after which they have awarded U/A.
Action Jackson: This Prabhudeva’s directorial has been objected for the word Temple and it has been replaced with statue which was in a song. Ajay Devgn and Sonakshi Sinha played the lead roles in the film.
