South India’s sensational director Shankar made it big across the country with his movies Shivaji and Robo. He received National recognition with these movies and he is the highest paid South Indian director before Rajamouli’s Baahubali: The Beginning.
Rajinikanth played the lead role in Robo which was a huge hit all over and the movie impressed the audience of all the sections. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan played the female lead and the visual affects along with Rajinikanth’s performance are said to be the major highlights of the film. AR Rahman composed the music and SUN Pictures produced Robo.
Now after an enough gap Shankar is back with the sequel for Robo and the movie has been titled as Robo 2. Rajinikanth will reprise his role in the film and Amy Jackson will play the female lead in the movie. The movie has been launched officially on December 12th on the occasion of Rajinikanth’s birthday.
Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has been roped in for the negative lead in the movie after an extensive search. Though the makers considered Aamir Khan and Hrithik Roshan for the role, Akshay has been finalized.
As per the latest news, Akshay is currently undergoing some intensive training for the role and he will put on weight for the character in the movie. A special trainer has been hired and Akshay will move to Chennai for the training which will take place for a month before he starts shooting for the character. Akshay will also practise some stunts which have never been shown on Indian screen till date.
