The continuous rains in Chennai made the city disastrous and the normal life has been completely disturbed. Chennai is slowly recovering back and is struggling to come back to the normal state. Bollywood Baadshah donated Rs 1 crore on behalf of Red Chillies Entertainments and now it’s time for Akshay Kumar to do his job.
Akshay has been touched after watching the visuals of Chennai. He decided to become a helping hand for the rain ravaged people of Chennai and he announced Rs 1 crore. Akshay has been in touch with the director Priyadarshan and Suhasini Manirathnam who have been participating in the relief activities.
Akshay donated Rs 1 crore to Bhoomika Trust who is preparing and distributing food all across Chennai for the flood victims. Jayendra, the managing trustee of Bhoomika Trust received a cheque of Rs 1 crore from Akshay Kumar.
Akshay Kumar extended his helping hand in the past during natural disasters and he donated Rs 1 crore for Uttarakhand disaster. He has recently wrapped up the shoot of his next movie Airlift which will hit the screens on January 22nd 2016.
